Belarus harvests over 2m tonnes of grain

Belarusian agrarians have already harvested 2.127 million tonnes of grain, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As for 26 July, Brest Oblast harvested 722,700 tonnes of grain, Minsk Oblast – 446,300 tonnes, Grodno Oblast – 457,900 tonnes, Gomel Oblast – 264,400 tonnes, Mogilev Oblast – 152,800 tonnes. Vitebsk Oblast, which joined the harvest campaign last, has cropped 83,400 tonnes of grain.

Cereal and leguminous crops (except for corn, buckwheat and panic-grass) were cropped from 640,900 hectares, 29.6% of the total cropping area. Brest Oblast is leading with its harvest 58% complete.

The average yield makes up 33.2 centners per hectare this year.
