Eleven Belarusian companies to supply components to John Deere enterprises

Eleven Belarusian companies will supply components to the German concern John Deere, which makes agricultural machines, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission told BelTA.

Eleven Belarusian companies and three Kazakhstani ones are part of the pilot project to supply components to assembly lines of the world’s top agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere. The relevant agreement was reached as a delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission visited a John Deere enterprise in Mannheim, Germany.

Member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agribusiness of the Eurasian Economic Commission Alexander Subbotin underlined that the agreement will not only stimulate the inclusion of the companies into the localization of manufacturing of foreign vehicles, machines, and equipment in the Eurasian Economic Union but will also prepare them to operate on the global market.

John Deere is one of the world’s leading producers of agricultural machines. Over the course of nearly 200 years it has penetrated markets of most of the countries, including Russia. For instance, the company operates a factory to assemble harvesters, tractors, and construction machines in Domodedovo, Moscow Oblast. A John Deere plant makes sowing and tillage machines in Orenburg.
